The Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2008. There was a patriotic singing competition organized by the students of the institute along with elocution and poetry competition.
15th September 2008 was observed as Hindi Divas. Students had organized cultural program for the teachers. This included Shayari competition and Hasya Kavita competition.
The students of the institute celebrated the Goan way of life by organizing Goan Fiesta. 23rd September was selected as the day for the fiesta. The staff was treated to sumptuous goan food and cultural entertainment.
For the first time ever a Japanese Theme Buffet was organized by the students of the 3rd year. Maido India specialist in Japanese foods had sponsored the theme buffet. The students trained under the expertise of Chef Kaiko from Japan. The buffet included an array of sushi’s, gyozo’s, tempura’s etc. The buffet got an excellent response from the guest who hailed the students efforts in high esteem.
This annual event was held on 26th March 2009. Students were felicitated for the academic excellence with cash prizes, trophies and certificates. The outstanding students were 1.) Mr Caitan Vaz Craft Course in Food and Beverage Service(December-March Batch) 2.) Mr Wilson Kurian Craft Course in Food and Beverage Service(July-November Batch) 3.) Ms Adelaide Anthony Quinn 3year Bsc in Hospitaity and Hotel Administarion.
